I haven’t spoken much about this game with so many other news come out of Carolina. This team is basically admitted that they aren’t going anywhere, but don’t expect Newton and his team to tuck it in. The offense is still much intact, and have a lot to prove. With a new RB competition going on between Stewart and Williams, that should keep some interest going in the game. Williams may be on the trading block as well so seeing his impact on this game will be key. The Bears on the other hand are playing their best football in years. Jay Cutler is playing well with old friend Brandon Marshall to throw to again. Look for that hookup early and often. Combine that with the rock solid combination of Matt Forte and Michael Bush at RB and this offense is scary. The Panthers should take some notes on how to handle two good running backs on one team from the Bears. Chicago’s defense also seems to be ageless and still playing at a high level. I don’t expect Carolina to win this one, but Jay Cutler is suffering through a rib injury. If they come out with more energy than the Bears, they could make it a contest. If they come out flat, this one could get ugly. The game is at 1 PM on FOX at Soldier Field in Chicago.
