Week 4: Panthers at Falcons

Last week the Panthers got embarrassed in what was advertised as the biggest game for the Panthers since the Cam Newton era started. The Giants, led by Eli Manning and a bunch of backups torched the Panthers defense and shut down their offense. The Panthers are now 1-2 and unless they can turn around their season quickly, all the offseason optimism may have been for nothing. On Sunday, the Panthers will travel to Atlanta to face their division rivals, the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have a high powered offense with two explosive receivers in Julio Jones and Roddy White. Additionally, the Falcons have the fourth best defense in the NFL after the first three weeks of the season. This will be a true test for the Panthers and Cam Newton, how will they face the early adversity in the 2012 NFL season? For the sake of the Panthers fans, let’s hope that Cam Newton wakes up and delivers against the Falcons this Sunday.
