Both are practicing, so it would be an upset if either did not play. Still, we have to question their effectiveness and playing time if they are not at 100%. Last week proved that Carolina needs Stewart to run the ball effectively after a brutal display. Stewart would have split carries with Williams anyways, so his role may not change much even if playing hurt. Smith was taken out of practice early on Thursday with knee soreness, but insists we will be available to play against New Orleans.
The Saints will be playing without Devery Henderson who suffered a concussion in last game against Washington. Brees will still have plenty of targets with Moore, Colston, and Jimmy Graham available and healthy. We cannot forget about Darren Sproles either who has taken a major role in the passing game since arriving in New Orleans.
